Welcome to

the Road to Wine Tour.

Three family-run vineyards. One unforgettable region. And you, on the inside of it all.

Three family-run vineyards. One unforgettable region. And you, on the inside of it all.

Where the vineyards still tell stories, and Italyโ€™s best-kept secret is still a secret.

This is

Emilia

Romagna.

Unfiltered, untamed, and quietly magnificent.

Here, you wonโ€™t just visit wineries. Youโ€™ll meet the people who pour their hearts into every bottle.

Slow down, lean in, and fall in love โ€” with a part of Italy that most never find.

You wonโ€™t just taste Emilia Romagna, youโ€™ll belong to it.

Road to Wine is a boutique wine-and-culture experience built around small-group departures, thoughtful itineraries, and deeper access to the people and places that make Emilia-Romagna extraordinary.

Three hosted Heritage departures through Emilia-Romagna โ€” each intentionally limited to
2โ€“6 guests following our signature 8 day / 7 night itinerary.

Meet the Makers

Caโ€™ di Sopra

Where the winemakers are still farmers first, and their feet have known this soil since childhood.

At Ca' di Sopra, Camillo and Giacomo Montanari shape wine with the patience of farmers and the precision of artists. Working the steep slopes of Marzeno, they craft native varietals that embody the rugged beauty of Romagnaโ€™s hidden vineyards.

La Sabbiona

A farm thatโ€™s been in the family for generations. Where dinner means ten courses, and time slows down.

Led by Mauro Altini, La Sabbiona is more than a winery โ€” it's a living expression of Romagnaโ€™s land and soul. From award-winning Albana to their rich Sangiovese, every bottle tells a story rooted in family, tradition, and the rolling Faenza hills.

Cantina della Volta

A family cellar reborn through method and memory โ€” where Lambrusco rises, one bottle at a time.

Cristian Bellei โ€” through the support of Giorgio Angiolini and Angela Sini โ€” brings Lambrusco to new heights. At Cantina della Volta, centuries of tradition meet Metodo Classico mastery, creating sparkling wines that are lively, elegant, and deeply rooted in Modenaโ€™s spirit.

  • โ€œIโ€™ve been coming to Emilia Romagna for decades, and it still stops me in my tracks. This tour has everything Iโ€™ve fallen in love with, shared the way it should be.โ€

    โ€” Derek Sawaya

  • "It was the people, the pace โ€” the way life slows down in all the right places... It REALLY brought Italy to life. The wine? That was the PERFECT finishing touch."

    โ€” Sara Pizarro
